ENERGY STAR® Certification

 

TLP Raters are proficient in all aspects of the ENERGY STAR guidelines for new homes set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as well as state programs in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut and the U.S. Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Home program. Our certified Home Energy Raters work closely with builders, developers, and architects throughout the design and construction process. We conduct on-site diagnostic testing and inspections and determine the energy-saving equipment and construction techniques needed to document that the home is eligible to earn the ENERGY STAR label and qualify for available incentives. TLP has helped more than 2,000 homes, both multi-family and single family, earn the ENERGY STAR label since 2008. We pride ourselves on taking a collaborative approach, working with designers and builders to find the best approaches to meeting program requirements while maintaining budget and design objectives.
